Ancient Chinese music claims inspiration from heaven and earth, and its wisdom transmits through both time and space. A single pluck of the pipa begins a celestial melody, awakening the blossoms of spring.
At the center of this design is the pipa — a traditional Chinese instrument featured in the Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra. Encircling it are the eight categories of Chinese instruments as well as the five musical tones.
The five musical tones correspond to the five elements. Each of the five elements also corresponds to one of the five organs in the human body.
The ancients have said, “Grand music harmonizes with heaven and earth.” People believed that virtuous music could soothe ills and dissolve sorrows.
