Mongolian Hospitality Silk Scarf - Chiffon
This scarf is inspired by the Shen Yun dance Mongolian Hospitality, in which young ladies welcome their guests with a lively dance on the open grasslands under a bright blue sky. Decorated with characteristic Mongolian elements of sequined boots, beaded hats, handfuls of chopsticks, and yurt tents—all woven together with a motif of Chinese knots—these scarves symbolize the spirit of generosity.

Thanks Shen Yun, you made a 94 year old very happy on her birthday!!
The silk scarf is beautifully designed and very fluid in its texture.
I had been eyeballing this scarf since I first saw it at the merch table back in 2016 when I saw my first Shen Yun show and I couldn’t find it anywhere; I wasn’t aware of the shop site’s existence then. I’m happy that it’s finally here because the colour palate is perfect for me and the patterns remind me to visit the tranquil world of Mongolia and experience true hospitality and natural beauty. I am bummed out that it’s not the charmeuse silk version but I am still tickled that I can reminisce about the first time I was enchanted by Shen Yun. It’s a bit bigger than expected, but the more, the merrier and there’s a lot to show off. I’m still happy to add it to my collection (I have ALL the scarves).
